Clean Stream is a group of associated corporations and companies that specializes in environmental consulting, monitoring, hydrochemical analyses, toxicity studies, engineering, rehabilitation and many other environmental techniques and technologies. Fritz Bekker started the company in 1996 with Jaco de Klerk, Ryno Erdmann, Adie Erasmus, Blanché Postma, Dr. Pieter Kotze and Brenton Niehaus that joined the Clean Stream group since then as managing members or directors of the various separate business entities.

Since its inception, Clean Stream grew into an organisation that includes several independent entities that operate under the Clean Stream umbrella. These corporations and companies are all interlinked through collective ownership that allows a wide range of environmental specialists to pool intellectual property and resources into an array of environmental products.

This recipe has served Clean Stream well in becoming a respected name in the environmental field, which offers its clients a high level of professional service and without the limitations of a large corporate structure. Our client list proudly includes most major South African mining houses, industries, government, local authorities and developers.

Clean Stream’s personnel operate from offices in Pretoria (Garsfontein office and laboratory, Waterkloof Glen office and laboratory), Malelane, Still Bay and Witbank. Our team consists of approximately 40 people that include highly qualified and experienced scientists as well as technical and administrative support staff.

It is our vision to continuously empower young scientists within the relaxed environment of the Clean Stream group of companies, in order to meet and overcome the increasingly complex environmental challenges that humanity will have to deal with in years to come.

We therefore aim to provide a comprehensive range of scientific services with the objective to provide environmental guidance in development processes where hazards can be avoided, opportunities optimised and adverse effects mitigated.
